If you did not already install Unreal Engine 5.5 on your computer, follow the next steps :
download the Epic Games store : https://store.epicgames.com/fr/download ,
download UE 5.5 from the launcher in the Unreal Engine/Library section.
Unreal Engine works with projects: a project is a set of assets (meshes, materials, scripts, animations,...) that are put together into levels within the Unreal Engine Editor.
To create a new project, first start Unreal Engine 5.5 from the launcher (NB : you can also start UE 5.5 directly via its .exe available here : C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_5.5\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UnrealEditor.exe, you can also create a shortcut for this application on your desktop).
You can then choose a project template, define its name and location, and create a new project.
Predict Unreal is distributed as a plugin. Using Predict Unreal in one of your projects consists in unziping the plugin folder inside the project.
The .zip file can be found in your install : C:\Program Files\United Visual Researchers\UVR Predict Engine 2.0\plugins\unreal. The plugin must be unziped inside the following folder : "ProjectPath/Plugins". You should then have a hierarchy similar to Figure 1.
If you installed Predict Engine before creating your project, the package should be available at the following path: C:\Program Files\United Visual Researchers\UVR Predict Engine\plugins\Unreal.
If you got the package via another way, you must select the .zip on your machine.
Figure 1 : Plugin folder hierarchy example
Once the plugin is installed in the project, you can start the project like you usually do (via the launcher or via the .uproject). The plugin should be automatically enabled. It can be enabled/disabled in the "Edit/Plugins" menu.
